There has not been a lot of material published on New Zealand Jewellers. In our silver travels, we come across a number of jewellers who also made sterling silver items. We will continue to provide a brief bio and example of the maker's marks of various NZ jewellers as we come across them.
Alex L Cooke took over the jewellery business of AG Barlett in 1895. The business was located on Devon Street, New Plymouth. He closed his business in 1927 when his shop was required by the Taranaki Amusements Company.
